ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
Signature is committed to operating in a responsible and sustainable manner. We recognise the importance of minimising the environmental impact of our activities and we take practical steps to embed this commitment into the way it works.
Signature has, for several years, operated on an increasingly paperless basis. Client meetings, witness interviews and internal collaboration are routinely conducted by videoconference, reflecting both the international nature of our practice and a conscious effort to reduce travel and resource use. Where court and arbitral procedures permit, the firm promotes paperless processes and the use of virtual hearings. When hard-copy materials are required, efficient printing settings are used as standard and paper is recycled.
The firm provides the majority of its marketing and client-facing materials electronically. In line with a long-standing firm-wide practice, seasonal greetings are sent digitally, with the funds that would otherwise be spent on printing and postage donated to charity.
Signature keeps its environmental policies under regular review and continues to identify opportunities to reduce its environmental footprint. This includes engaging specialist advisers to assist in the development of a structured and effective carbon reduction plan, aligned with the firm’s values and the expectations of its clients.
